Autotext problem with word 10

I have a problem with a number of documents which were originally created in
word 97, in these documents i have auto text which is inserted automatically
from vab depending on selections made by the user. In these autotext entries
are form fields.

The documents were made using Areial as the default text for the document.

In Word 97 these formfields and text etc are entered into the document and
the formatting stays ok.

However when the same document is run in word 10 and the autotext entries
are entered on some not all of the formfields the font has changed to
something called Aerial Unicode, even by altering the font to aerial and
resetting the autotext the problem is not sorted.

Opening the document in Word 11 everything works fine.

Why? is there a proble with word 10 if so whats the fix or is there a patch
or Sp which cures these issues can anyone help it doesnt happen an all
documents either.

Apparently no one really has any idea about this one. There was a problem with
form fields for a while that the font would change to Mincho if certain types
of international support were installed with Office. Perhaps what you're seeing

FWIW, I've seen problems with Word spontaneously switching to MS Mincho, and
I have NO languages installed except English.

FWIW, I've seen problems with Word spontaneously switching to MS Mincho, and
I have NO languages installed except English.

I didn't say anything about which languages are installed. It has to do with
international font support being installed.

English, French, and Spanish enabled. I have only English enabled as an
Input Locale in Control Panel | Regional Options. I assume there is some
other setting somewhere else?

I didn't say "Fonts". I said "Font SUPPORT".
When you install Office there are two sections with general Office stuff.
One of these is for "International" and under there is a "Font" entry.
That's what I mean.

Well, I didn't say "fonts," either. I was just asking the question that you
have now (more or less) answered. What I was really asking was how one could
ascertain whether the font support was installed, and from what you've said,
I imagine it is not possible without going through the Control Panel |
Add/Remove Programs | Change routine to see what's installed. I suspect that
I did install the font support (I tend to retty much install everything).
