Autotext - displays original style, but not outline numbering

I want to add as autotext several paragraphs of legal text.

Each paragraph comprises:
- Defined styles (Level 1, Level (a), Level (i)
- Outline numbering (1, (a) and (i) - which is part of the defined styles

I have saved the autotext in a template.

I have tested inserting the autotext but the problem with it is:
- The text inserts
- Each paragraph shows as having the correct style (1, (a) or (i))
- But the outline numbering is missing (that is, before the text there is no
number)
- When I reapply the style, the outline numbering reappears.

Should autotext retain the outline numbering? Any thoughts as to how I can
fix this problem would be appreciated.

Hi Irving
I want to add as autotext several paragraphs of legal text.

Each paragraph comprises:
- Defined styles (Level 1, Level (a), Level (i)
- Outline numbering (1, (a) and (i) - which is part of the defined styles

I have saved the autotext in a template.

I have tested inserting the autotext but the problem with it is:
- The text inserts
- Each paragraph shows as having the correct style (1, (a) or (i))
- But the outline numbering is missing (that is, before the text there is no
number)

Up till here, the most likely explanation is that the numbering is not
properly setup; see for instance:

See the section on "Numbering, bullets, Headings, Outlines" (by Shauna

- When I reapply the style, the outline numbering reappears.

And this might now indicate, yes, the style is correct, but the AutoText
has not been saved as a whole paragraph? Does the single AutoText
consist of more than one paragraph? Make sure, when saving it, that all
paragraphs that make up the AutoText are selected prior to the saving.
