Autoplay

When I load a DVD the autoplay function takes a long time, sometimes two
minutes to recognise the DVD before it asks me play it.
My DVD drive is E: It is set to ask me if I want to play the movie.
Sometimes it does even seem to recognise the inserted disk,
Why does it take so long to recognise the insertion and why doesn't it
autoplay.
I'm using XP Home
Properties in E: drive is set to ask.

Taking long delay to access some of CD/DVDs could be because of scratches or
you can also try good lens cleaner to clean your DVD lens but not recommanded
until you check everything else.
