autoplay dont work on cd rom usb etc.

For some reason my autoplay stopped working when i insert cd nothing
happens, same for usb drives, when i pop my flash drive auto play appears &
scans & askes me what to open with, same for my USB hard drive. It dosn't
work anymore i tried tweak xp to fix it didnt work, any suggestions?

i tried that no dice, the autplay reparir wizard said need repair on policy
& fixed i rebooted & still not working,

anything else i went to kelly-xp corner downloaded a reg autorun enable for
registry & that didnt help either.

I posted two links beside the Autoplay Repair Wizard download. Various
fixes are suggested there. Have you checked them all out?

That fix is for XP Home in line 29 sorry I have Pro SP3 not the same fix.

What happens when you go into My Computer>Right click on the particular
drive>Left click Properties>Autorun Tab across the top>set your preferences
from there?

It's on promt me for action. i tried to select to a particular program but
wont load when insert cd etc.
