Autoplay will only open to CD contents

Everytime I place an cd or DVD into my drive it will only open the CD's
content. I have tried to right click on the drive and select the
autoplay tab. I have tired to get it to open to an application and I
have also tried to bring up the selection application window. In all
cases it just opens the the contents of the media. Any suggestions? Thanks
