AutoPlay annoyances

A really annoying thing is this AUTOPLAY banner that now
comes up every five seconds literally. Is there anything
that can be done to permanently remove it? I have done
various searches but cannot find. It appears mainly on
the desktop...nothing in the drives to trigger it though.
Tried seting the autoplay confog so nothing would open
sanyway, but no luck...can anyone help with mabye a
registry setting to disable it?

Check msconfig/startup, your runkeys and startup folder. Other than that
run the Startup Tracker from here and check the listings via the log file.
