Annoying Autoplay - WIN XP Home

Hi Win XP Gurus,

I am running my Desk Top with Win XP Home(2.4 Ghz pentium). Some times
(50 % of times) when I start my computer autoplay window appears with
a torch symbol. It keeps running & searching. All other programs
become unresponsive. I will have to reboot. The autoplay window keeps
comming every few (2 to 3) minutes. I was not able to find a pattern
of when it happens. If I reboot my PC it will go away.

Most of the posts suggest disabling the autoplay feature using TweakUI
or changing the registry entries.I really want to keep auto play
feature, but for this annoyance.

I am suspecting Nero CD burning S/W. But I am not sure.

Is there any fix for this ? Is it a known problem?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Nero does place a useless troublesome DLL in the system.
Might be a problem and Nero usually conflicts with other burning software.

Do you think removing Nero and installing some other CD Burning S/W
helps ?( I am not happy with Nero other wise any way)
I mean uninstalling Nero removes that problem creating DLL ? OR the
DLL stays any way even if the Nero is un-installed.
