Automatically Lock the Computer during logon

Hi , i'm currently using XP Powertoy to automate the login process of my PC.
I've entered my Domain username and password so that everytime when the PC
boots up it will automatically log me on. The problem that i'm having is that
if there's a power failure and the PC boots up when i'm not there , others
will have access to my files and folders. Is there any way to automatically
lock the PC after the logon process.

Please help

How often are you logging on? Is it *really* necessary to automate the process?

Putting a shortcut with this "Target:" into your Startup directory might
work:
%windir%\System32\Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation

I think his point was (although, I could be wrong) that he basically wants
an automated logon, except when he's not there. It doesn't make sense.

Well, the above should do that. I assume the OP had a good reason for
his auto logon process, like programs starting from his logon script,
registry, startup folder. OTOH, he wanted the PC secured. Having a
program in the startup group to secure the PC should achieve that.
Naturally, this is untested (although I use the command above a lot in
other contexts).

So he wants the logon process to proceed, but, afterwards, have a secure GUI.

I know there are a number of programs to do this, but I suppose your solution
is easier and less expensive.

Aznan - Let us know if it works!

You could consider Natural Login (http://www.palcott.com)
Our software supports an auto login feature that is protected by the
presence of a hardware key (ex: USB flash drive and shortly flash memory
cards and Bluetooth devices).
If the key is detected then the auto login proceeds normally, otherwise
it displays the normal login screen.
While in the login screen, and as soon as it detects your key it will
also auto login your account.
The software will also automatically lock your PC when the key is no
longer detected.
