automatically color-coding appointments

I am wondering if there is a non programming way to automatic color-code
appointments. If there is, I can't find how to do it.

When you enter a new appointment, you can categorize it as a business and
also give it a color-code business label. Categories and labels are
completely separate functions. I am wondering if you can configure the
Calendar view so that if you give an appointment a category (for example,
business), all appointments with a business category will all automatically
be colored blue?

I don't think there is a way to do this. If there is, please let me know. If
you are a seasoned Outlook user and you agree with me, please let me know so
I know one way or the other.

Thanks!

If you use Automatic formatting, the category color coding doesn't seem to
show up or carry over onto the To-Do Bar view. So even thought my
appointments are yellow in the calendar view, they are still grey on my
To-Bar. Is this correct?

Thanks!
