Automatically chack messeges when opened

I am currently using Outlook 2000 and I want it to
automatically check my messages as soon as I open it like
Outlook Express would. If anyone knows how or if this can
be done please let me know.

Set your connection type to LAN.
Configure an automatic Send/Receive interval.
