Lin needs help!!!

I have Automatic Updates switched on, but when I check
my "installation history", there have been none since
July 31. How can I be certain that Automatic Updates IS
working? Should the Service Pack 2 have been installed
via the automatic updates by now? Any help would be
appreciated!

If you had sp2 you would remember the install but maybe
lost track. To find out what you have (sp1 or sp2) from
start menu /accessories/system tools/ system imformation
In system iformation on item hardware extraction layer
the value will be sp1 or sp2>

If your setup to get automatic updates your the first
update screen will say Your computer is set to receive
security & critical updates automatically
If not there is a link to set your computer to do so.

If your were recieving sp2 automatically and like me, it
stopped sending about 8 day ago. There should be
outstanding sp2 update for the remaining bytes to go.
Select that link. In a day or so the automatic update
will resume.

I definitely do not have sp2 - it has never started
installing. The first screen does say that automatic
updates is switched on, but there have been none since
July 31st, which is why I am not sure if it is working.
