My automatic updates shut off when this "Antimalware guard" showed up on my
computer. I tried going to the Security Center to turn them off but it won't
let me and when it does, I go back and it's off again. I tried doing the
services.msc but it when it would let me set it as automatic, the start
option would never go on. Can someone help me out?? I have Windows XP Home
Edition. Thanks

In services.msc,double click the service,select:auto/manual,or disable.Start
or stop the service.Or,open task mgr, locate the running service, stop service.
One can/could also, open windows or microsoft update manually, locate the
"Turn on auto update service"

Things that just show up are usually not doing you any favors. Have
you tried to delete it?

Dear Luis,

You probably have the Trojan Vundo on your computer.
If so, download the program: Super Anti Spyware Guard from another
machine.

Install the program and once installed, edit the View Control Center
(Preferences/Options) settings, In Scanning Control: Enable the option:
Terminate memory threats before quarantining.

Run the program, do a full scan (it will take some time), remove any spyware,
and reboot the computer.

Re-run the Super Anti-Spyware program as a full scan.

Your antivirus program might have missed the Trojan's hidden location.

Hope this helps.
