Automatic Updates in XP SP2 RC1

Hi,

I just installed the German RC1 version of SP2 and noticed that the time for
the automatic installation defaults to 3 a.m. at which time my pc is usually
powered off. Will it automatically install the updates next time I power on
in this case?

Also I wonder why the security center has linlks to configure firewall and
IE settings but no link to the Update settings.

Nope, only if your PC is switched on at the given time.
