automatic start up

I shut down my computer at night but it automatically starts back up at
midnight. This is causing problems with my computer because it's on almost
all the time. Where can I change the settings so it doesn't start up by
itself?

Go into the BIOS and disable 'wake on LAN' if it is enabled. Also, go to
Device Manager and open the Properties sheet for your network card, select
the Power Management tab and remove the checkmark from 'Allow this device to
bring the computer out of standby.'
