Automatic Shutdown

Every now and then, within about 5 minutes of start up, I get a pop up that
says "System Shutdown. This system is shutting down. Please save all work
in progress and log off. Any Unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown
was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" Then it shows a countdown starting at
one minute. Then below that there's a message. "Windows must now restart
because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."
Has anyone else come across this problem before or have any idea how to fix
it? I'd appreciate the help, thanks.

Had it once; the only fix I found was to do a Repair Install of XP. Sorry,
that's all I have.

Go to Start | Run

Type in shutdown -a

If you do this before the 60 seconds are up, shutdown will abort. Then you
can see about cleaning the "Blaster" worm off of your computer.
