I am a volunteer administrator for a non-profit
I upgraded a Dell Latitude Laptop from Windows 98 to Windows XP. It has a docking station
Now, periodically, the users gets a pop up window titled "System Shutdown", with the contents, "This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM", it is followed by "Time before Shutdown: " + a framed message box in the dialogue that sates "Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly"
Any suggestions on resolving. It is shutting down at varying amounts of time from 20 to 5 minutes repeatedly making the machine unusable
Thanks in advance
