Automatic re-boot

When I shut down my computer it always re-boots a second
or two after the screen goes blank. My equipment is a
Toshiba Satellite. I can now only operate it with AC power
as I have to disconnect the power when the screen blanks
or it will automatically restart. I NEED HELP PLEASE
