automatic popup in explorer

When i open explorer, there is a popup window appearing
at the bottom of my screen (a sort of reseach engine)...i
can close it....i would like to know how to get rid of it
permenantly

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
