Internet Explorer Popups

I had installed Yahoo Companion to stop windows popups. I
have removed it since, however, now when I try to open
some (not all) sites (example of a website is
www.sportinglife.com) and a new windows tries to popup
automatically, the Internet Explorer closes all the
browser windows and I have to restart IE.

Any suggestions???

My problem is not stopping popups but actually allowing
them so that I can open websites (example of a website is
www.sportinglife.com). Whenever, I go to this website a
new window tries to popup and then all the Internet

This has been happening since I installed Yahoo Companion
to stop windows popups and is still happening even though
I have now removed aYahoo Companion.
