'Automatic name checking' crashes Outlook 2003

Hello

I have a curious problem that has just started happening. I installed
SpamPal last week and since then Outlook has crashed after opening a
new mail and entering text in the to, cc, bcc boxes. I have uninstalled
SpamPal and Outlook and been through the registry deleting relevant
keys.

The workaround is to uncheck:

1. Automatic name checking
2. Suggest names while completing To, CC, + BCC fields

Any ideas?

Thanks

Windows XP Service Pack 2
Outlook 2003 Service Pack 2
Office XP Service Pack 3

Thanks for the reply.

I've already tried this. I've completely removed all traces of Outlook
and reinstalled. The symptoms are with Outlook, could the problem be
elsewhere?

Thanks.

I never said to remove and reinstall Outlook. That wouldn't create a new
profile.

Russ I am having the same problem that started within a few days of tyrones.
New profile didnt affect it.

Describe your problem more fully. Did it also start with an add-in?

Thank you for the replies.

I recreated another user profile (documents and settings) and that did
the trick. I have no idea what caused the original issue. All I know is
that the symptoms occured after installing SpamPal (not saying that
SpamPal caused the issue).

Thanks
