Automatic Internet Disconnect

I have a client who is still on dial-up and, though the
network setting is accurate, the automatic disconnect
does not seem to be working. Thoughts?

Hi Brad

If their internet explorer settings are correct its probably an application keeping the connection open such as anti virus updates or windows updates etc.

Once they have closed their browser windows down, run the mouse over the connection icon in the systray and see if there is any traffic being sent and received. If so, something is definetely keeping the connection open

Try looking at task manager and see what programs/processes are running at the time
