Automatic Dial-Up When Starting

I can't get Outlook 2003 to dial my ISP whenever it starts up. I have checked
the "Send immediately when connected" box, but still doesn't work.
 
What connection type did you set for your mail account?
What automatic polling interval did you set for your mail account?
