Automatic Calculation switching to manual

I have a problem in that I use a spreadsheet which uses automatic
calculation. When I open the spreadsheet it calculates automatically
but every now and again it switches the calculation to manual whilst I
have the spreadsheet open... I haven't opened any other spreadsheets in
this time so it can't be linked to the startup state of a particular
spreadsheet or to excel itself. If I turn the automatic calculation
back on using tools/options it starts working again...

Can anyone help. It's really doing my head in and is causing me some
problems...

Hi

Do you have any macro's set up in the workbook? If so, check these as
one of them may be switching Calculation to Manual and not switching it
back again.

There are macro's linked to the spreadsheet but the calculation switches
to manual when they are not running.

Any ideas?

Hi

I would check through the code of each one to see if any are switching
calculation mode to manual, and insert another line before the end of
the macro to switch calculation back to automatic.

Thanks mate. Will have a look. Can you think of anything else that may
be causing it. Can't see it being a macro because like i said none of
them are actually running when the change takes place. I will check
though.

Did you figure out what was causing your problem because i have had just the
same problem and it is really annoying and I have no macros at all in my
spreadsheet?
