Automate Backup in XP?

Is there a way that I can arrange for the computer to automatically back
itself up using Windows XP Professional? I'd like to set it up to backup
weekly to a remote location on the network. Is this possible?

Yes - you can schedule an NTBackup job in task scheduler.
