autoexec.nt, The Sims

S

samantha

I have the Sims for win95 or win98, I want to play it on
win2K. I want to know if this is possible and, if so, how
to get around this error message when I try to install:

"C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications."

I asked maxis' EAgames support group for help. I got this
link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;324767
but it applies to WinXP, and the commands given only give
me can't-do messages. Maybe I can tweak these commands to
apply to my system?
