hello, im trying to download the sims (original), when i
click the install button this message keeps coming up -
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not
suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows
application - i would really appreciate some help. thank

You can restore that file to it's original form. Here's how...

Follow the instructions in this article:

*OR* To restore autoexec.nt:

1. Click Start > Run > type: msconfig (Press ENTER)
2. Click the "Expand File..." button
3. In the "Expand One File from Installation Source window"
Paste the following values (or use the Browse button):

File to restore:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\AUTOEXEC.NT

Restore from:
C:\i386\AUTOEXEC.NT_

Save file in:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\

Click Expand to start restoring the file.
