Autocorrect - lost resources

Sometimes my PC loses many months of resources in the form of Autocorrect
words which I add whenever I make errors.

Is there a way to save / back up these corrections?

As with personal dictionary words - this would be very valuable as it would
also allow me to import my corrections to another PC.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?UGV0ZXI=?=,

Some versions of Word provide a tool for backing these up, others don't. Since
you don't mention which one you use, it's difficult to give you precise
information, but...

You should find an article on backing up AutoCorrect on the word.mvps.org
site.

Yes, they can be backed up, but ...

Does your computer lose them? Or do you lose them?

Unformatted text autocorrects are held in language-specific .acl files. If
you change the language of your document (accidentally, perhaps) you may
seem to lose your autocorrects.

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations
including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros,
etc.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm for
information on backing up and restoring AutoCorrect files. But do pay
attention to what the other responders have said.
