AutoCorrect has changed languages

Earlier today I made some changes to the AutoCorrect "replace text as you
type" dictionary. I've just reopened the document I was working on and all my
new AutoCorrect entries seemed to be gone. Then I noticed that the
AutoCorrect window now says "AutoCorrect: U.K." The language code for my
document is "English (Canada)" so AutoCorrect seems to have switched
languages. Can anyone help me get back to the dictionary to which I've made
all the changes and get rid of any superfluous ones? Thanks!

Answering my own question, I discovered that if I changed the language code
for the document to "English: U.S." I got my replacement dictionary back,
which is "Autocorrect: English (U.S.)." I had changed the document's language
code to Canadian later.

So when the document has the English (Canadian) code, the U.K. dictionary
automatically comes up. Is there a way to get the U.S. one to come up when
using the Canadian code?
Thanks.

Sounds more like your document has changed languages. Reopen your document,
press Ctrl+A to select all of the text, and click on Tools | Language | Set
Language | English (Canada) | Default | OK.

Don't think so.... It's just barely possible that you could duplicate your
US ACL (AutoCorrect List) file and rename it to trick MS into using it for
UK/Canadian English, but I wouldn't know how.... (by the way, the
dictionaries are something else, the ACL is not a dictionary, just to
prevent confusion).
