Autocomplete

I've found out, at least on my computer, autocomplete doesn't work if the
word of phrase begins with a number. It's OK if it starts with a letter and
has the rest numbers. Is this how it's supposed to be? If it is, does
anyone have a work around?
 
I think it'll kick in as soon as you reach a letter. For
example, if you have an entry 123abcdef, and in another
cell you start typing 12..., autocomplete will kick in as
soon you reach "a". At least it works for me that way.
