Autocheck.exe cannot be found

Hello all,

In the past 24 or hours or so, when I re-boot my computer, I've gotten a
message (which only lasts for a second or two) that:

Systemroot/Windows/System32/autocheck.exe cannot be found.
Skipping autocheck.

This can't be a good thing. Does anyone know what is happening? Have I
accidentally deleted a file that I shouldn't have? Any advice would be
greatly appreciated.

If the message "autochk not found" is displayed but your computer otherwise
completes the boot process normally, you need to remove Windows XP HotFix
KB824105 in "add/remove programs".

Nope, not much help there. Just a lot of people pasting links to links to
links to links and then...insulting eachother.
