Whenever I reboot my computer I get a message that reads
/sytemroot/windows/system32/autochk.exe not found skipping autocheck
After this message appears it goes to my desktop and everything seems
to be running normally tried to search the autoexec file which appears
in one of windows update.but canot find a windows system32 folder and
am wondering if this has been deleted accidentally?although everything
seems to be working ok.Any suggestions greatly appreciated,Operating

autochk.exe is a Windows\system32 file. Have you done a Search for
this file that you may have moved it somewhere else on the harddrive?
If you are running XP/SP2 there should be a couple of the autochk.exe
files on the disk. Copy and paste one to C:\Windows\System32 directory. If
no file autochk.exe is found, run the SFC feature. I found 4, all 575Kb
Start>Run>type SFC /SCANNOW (space between C and /) and press OK.
Have your XP CD handy for it may ask for it. SFC is the System file check
which replaces corrupt and/or missing system files. :~)
