Autoarchive Part 2

How do I enable autoarchive to archive all folders and subfolders in Outlook
XP? I went into the autoarchive settings and configured it as I wanted and
set it to apply these settings to all folders. All subfolders of the inbox
were set to autoarchive like I configured, but the subfolders that had
subfolders did not have autoarchive enabled. How can I get autoarchive to
work the way I want it?

In Outlook, go to File-Archive. From here you can set it to archive all
subfolders of any top-level folder you choose. You can even check the
"Include Items with 'Do not AutoArchive' checked" box to force archiving to
occur for all subfolders. The archiving will still happen even though
subfolders may not show the archiving settings.

This is for manual archiving. For autoarchiving, go to Tools-Options and
then go to the Other tab and click the AutoArchive button. Set your archive
settings the way you want and click the "Apply these settings to all folders
now." Now all of your folders should be set. To verify this, right-click any
folder, choose properties, and go to the AutoArchive tab. The option to
"Archive items in this folder using the default settings" should be
selected. If you click the Default Archive Settings button, it shows the
settings you configured earlier in Tools-Options.

Yeah this is what I mentioned earlier. I configured the autoarchive
settings and told it to apply to all folders. When I go to the inbox I
right click on any folder that is a subfolder of the inbox that has
subfolders beneath it and the use default settings is not checked. I'm
pretty sure do not archive this folder is checked instead. It seems to only
happen to inbox subfolders that have subfolders beneath it. Regular inbox
subfolders are configured correctly.

I checked my Inbox subfolders (including those that contain subfolders of
their own), and they all have the Use Default Settings box checked. Not sure
why yours isn't working, but at least this verifies that it should work
through all subfolders and not just the top level of subfolders.
