Auto Archive management

Using Outlook 2002 SP3

I manage my emails by using folders and subfolders within Inbox. There are
several hundred subfolders, each corresponding to a client or client
project.

I can obviously change the Auto Archive settings on individual subfolders,
but with so many it is teduious.

I can see how to use Options/Other/AutoArchive to apply default settings to
ALL folders, but can I manage the AutoArchive settings so that I can
simultaneously change say 50 subfolders to one setting, and another 75 to
another setting etc.

Nope, not possible.
You might want to consider dropping some folders and use a combination of
views, categories and automatic formatting as well. In addition you might
benefit by upgrading to Outlook 2007 where you have the option to use Search
Folders as well. The "sorting on-the-fly" method will significantly drop the
amount of physical folders and will give you much more flexibility in
accessing and maintaining your data.

You could try running Outlook True Archive once a week. It allows you to
archive based on the received/sent/modified date and will replicate your
folder structure.
