auto updates

I installed MSAS on 3/3 and did a manual update. Auto update is set for 8am
everyday. All three boxes are checked. Yesterday I saw in a forum that
there was a update from 3693 to 3695. I did not manually update so I could
test the auto update feature. Auto did not work and there were no error
messages in the error log. I had to update manually.

Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

Thanks Andre, I did your procedure just after I read your message and will
see what happens next. By the way, manual update has always worked.

This is the error log message that I got this morning:

"0::The web server returned an error:

<title>The resource cannot be
found.</title>::modSoapHelper:SendSoapRequest::3/7/2005 8:13:42 AM
91::Object variable or With block variable not
set::SoapClient:isUpdateAvailable::3/7/2005 8:13:42 AM"

Is there a resource that decodes the messages in the error log?

This is the error log message that I got this morning:

"0::The web server returned an error:

Perhaps Bill knows if all servers have installed
MSAS definitions and are ready for MSAS updates ?

What I know MS uses Akamai for this, Symatec also.
