When I select the footer, auto text for page numbering " x of y", the pages
are correctly numbered on the monitor. When I print the pages the numbers
are "page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2, etc."
How can I get it to print in sequence?

I had some docs that did that one day. Several of them. The next time I
opened them, they were fine. I don't know what happened but whatever it was,
it wasn't permanent.

This has happened consistently.
Thank you for the response.

I wish I knew what caused it - and how to correct it. I did find this from
Suzanne and Dave Rado.

"Page X of Y" gives wrong numbers
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/PageXofY.htm

Funny thing is I noticed that after I did a Print Preview mine did correct
itself. I was going to post that but thought y'all would think I was nuts.
(I may well be but that's off topic.)

Hopefully something will work for you.
