Hi Mike
We have a similar problem, though slightly more advanced. 80 users
share a .dot template, which are copied from the server on log-on.
Trying to add or delete things from the template seems to work on the
local computer on which the changes are made, but even though the new
.dot file are copied OK the changes seems to be ignored on the other
computers. When information have been deleted from the .dot file, how
can it still be accessed on the other computers? Can matter be
inhereted to the normal.dot file or do you have any other reasonable
explanation?

AutoText entries are normally saved to the Global Template
[normal.dot]. Rename this file (ex. normal.old) and observe whether
they are still displayed. This file is the most common reason for
document corruptions. If you rename it Word will create a new one
when you next create a document. Use Word's Organiser to copy
AutoText, Tolbars & macros from the old [normal] to the new one.

Auto text changes won't save - whether its a new entry, rename,
delete, etc. The old entries are always there after i close out of
the Word or Outlook and reopen the programs. Have tried to edit
via the Insert-Autotext & via Tools, Templates & Add-Ins. Any
suggestions??
