I would like to have Outlook automatically start when I boot up my machine in
the mornings.

I have been looking for it but not able to locate where I put the file to
get it to autoload on start up.

Can someone enlighten me as to where that is done in Vista??

thanks

Put the Outlook program shortcut in the Startup folder in your Start Menu >
All programs.

You can easily do this by clicking and dragging. Also you can put a copy of
the shortcut into the folder:
C:\Users\<userprofile>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup

It's not wise to put Outlook in the Startup Group since you will get errors
when Outlook loads before the other services. A better idea is to add the
Outlook shortcut to your Quick Launch bar and click on it after everything
loads and your Internet Connection is showing a connection in your Navigation
Pane.

Put a shortcut on your Quick Launch bar instead of in your Startup group.
Outlook must load last after all other services and your Internet Connection
is made. You will get errors if OL starts before the connection is
established.
