Programs that load at startup

I have Windows Vista Premuim Home edition SP2. Where can I find the
folder that contains all the programs that are supposed to start when
Windows boots? I want to add a program to the list so it loads at
bootup. Wiyhin the program (Secunia), I checked off the box that
should enable the program to do this - but it isn't working. Therefore,
I can just put a copy of the executable in the Startup folder (if I
could find it). Thanks.

The Startup folder does not contain ALL the programs that are supposed
to start when Windows boots but you can put a shortcut there.
Right-click the Start button, select Explorer All Users and navigate
down to the Startup folder.

Thanks for replying. Did what you suggested and tried to put a
shortcut of the executable I wanted to start up at boot. The Startup
folder would not accept the shortcut. So I placed a copy of the
executable in the Startup folder which was accepted. Now, I want to
remove that executable - but a message says I need permission to do
this. I don;t know how to get this permission. The shortcut is really
what I wanted to be in the Startup folder. BTW, when I reached the
Startup folder, it was empty except for Desktop.ini.

A coupe thoughts... First, you probably do have permission to the
file: Vista throws the "no permission" error erroneously quite often.
Second, make sure the program is not actually running when you try to
delete it. Try a reboot if you have not. If that does not work, you
might have to boot into Safe Mode and delete it.

Thank you - all set!!
