In WIndows XP I was abble to place a shortcut in
C:\Documents and Settings\My Family\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

This would allow he program to execute whenever I boot the computer.

Where do I put the shortcut in Windows Vista?

Thanks

Open your Start menu...

Find the startup folder in the list (All Programs --> Startup) and right
click on it. Open or Explore "All Users". Add what you want in that
folder.

It does not start the stuff in there when you start the computer - but when
anyone (if put in the All Users folder as directed) logs in. If you want a
specific program for a specific user - you would explore that user's Startup
folder.
