I can not get auto scan to work. I have tried several different times for
scan,I thought it might not scan at the 2 A.M. settting due to pc in
hibernation mode,I have tried during day when pc is on,to no avail The auto
scan feature did work when I first installed software, however I think it quit
working after one of the updates of the software. Can anyone tell me why? I
have tried reinstalling auto scan still does not work.I am at a loss to fix
this, short of using my old spyware program that I have been using for years

Hello poepoeme,

When auto scan runs on my PC, there is no visible sign of it running, not
even a results box at the end. But if you open Windows Defender, the last
scan date, time, and results should be at the bottom of "home." Also you
could check your Event Viewer in Control Panel>Performance and
Maintenance>Administrative tools>Event Viewer>system. If Defend runs a scan,
it shows up there under "WinDefend." Iif not, then look for errors regarding
WinDefend.
