auto-removal of symbols (pazomath font)

Guest

Hello,

When I insert a symbol (pazomath font) and press enter or the space bar the
symbol sometimes disappears. It looks like word is autocorrectting it.
Does anybody know what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Lucas

That could very well be the case. Does pressing Ctrl+Z immediately solve the
problem?

Thanks for your reply Suzanne,

Undoing does indeed resolve the problem. And as I'm typing this reply I
resolved my problem. The thing is the"capatalize first letter of
sentences/table cells" in the AutoCorrect options are checked. However this
particular font type does not possess capital letters, hence resulting in a
blanc correction.

I experienced something similar years ago. I was using the Adobe Minion
Ornaments font, which has hands pointing right at e and f and hands pointing
right at E and F. I wanted to put hands on either side of a title pointing
to it, and it took me the longest time to figure out why, when I inserted
the hand pointing right, it immediately became a hand pointing left!
