Auto Hiding the Taskbar

When I try to hide the taskbar, I am unable to do it. I get the hourglass
icon after clicking apply but the hourglass icon never returns to a normal
cursor. When I terminate the task, the taskbar is always on top. What do I
need to do to get the taskbar to Auto hide?

Hi,

Right click on the taskbar and select properties.
After that, check Auto hide box.
Click Apply and Click OK.

Depends....

In Taskbar properties, you have to check "Autohide"
and also "Keep Taskbar always on top". The latter check is counterintuitive
but it works.
