I see many posts on here and in other places on the internet, some with
answers even, but none that actually fix this problem:
The taskbar will not auto-hide more than once. Sometimes it covers up
something I need to access, so to access it I have to turn auto hide off, hit
apply (after moving the taskbar properties window out from under the taskbar
so I can also get to the apply button arrrgh!!!) then enable it again and hit
apply to get the taskbar to hide. Then the taskbar hides--BUT ONLY ONCE!
Next time it's in the way I have to do this again...
Someone suggested making sure always on top is also selected (it is, doesn't
help...) The most prevalent response keeps suggesting to go buy some software
to fix it but the software doesn't even say it will fix this problem, so I
suspect the only purpose of that suggestion is to sell more software or to
get someone to pay for the privilege of beta testing it.
I have been all over the Microsoft sites and the Internet and find plenty of
people experience the same problem but have yet to find a solution that works.
The key indicator of this problem is that auto hide works buth that it only
works one time.
Thank you in advance for any helpful replies.
