auto hide and show

I have avg on my system windows xp pro and it appears in the sys tray but
after about an hour it disappears and I have to go to start menu and
customize and click always show but after another hour it disappears again
why. I click on the always show in the settings and surely that should keep
it showing but it doesn't. any help

Hi,

Whether or not is shows is not important. Whether or not it still runs is.
As long as it is still running., then don't sweat this bug. Check for
avgserv.exe and avgcc32.exe in the processes tab of Task Manager (hit
ctrl+shift+escape).
