For the last week or so, every time I try to open my browser 6.0(running XP
Pro), the dial up box doesn't come up and I get a dns error (page could not
load). After going to connections, I find the proxy box is checked in the
LAN connection, even though I do not use a LAN. After unchecking, the dial
up works. If I'm online for over 20 minutes and go back to connections, the
LAN proxy is rechecked again. If I uncheck and disconnect and then
reconnect, I am unable to get the dial up box back and have to go back into
connections and uncheck the LAN proxy box. I did have trouble with the goole
tool-bar and uninstalled it but the google continues. Frustrating to say the
least. Any help would be appreciated.
