Auto D/C Issue

Hi guys, not sure if i posted in the correct place.

I'm using Win XP Pro Edition. At my house, i'm using linksys wireless router
and my PC is connect to USB wireless adapter. My Xp auto d/c my wireless
connection recently if i I idle my PC for around 10 min. May I know if this
is cause by XP? Any option in XP i can set so XP wont d/c my wireless
connection if I idle my PC.

Another issue, i keep auto d/c from MSN messager very often. Not sure if
some of u have this issue as well

What are your settings for the device in the device manager? Is it set to
CAM (constantly awake mode) or is it set to save power? If not then set it
there and it won't disconnect when idle to save power. If this is a laptop
then it's a feature you might want to leave on as the usage of the card eats
up battery life something fierce. It's not as bad as, say, watching a DVD
but it eats a lot of go-go juice.
