Ive jus got my new laptop with windows xp. Ive found that when I log on under quest windows will remember passwords and auto complete as it is setup to under tools/internet opptions/content/auto complete prefs. However, when I log on under my account which is owner, windows will not remember pw's or auto complete pw fields, it will ask me if i want windows to remember my pw and I say yes but it will not remember it. I have all the boxes checked under tools/internet opptions/content/auto complete and that doesnt work. Wondering why it works for guest account and not owner.

Hi there,

Your Password Is Not Retained in Windows XP:

** This fix also applies to Internet Explorer, other
programs that store passwords in the Protected Storage
System Provider sub-branch of the Registry. It also
corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and
AutoComplete.

AutoComplete Does Not Save Username and Password:
