Auto Complete name

in outlook 2000 how do you set it up to auto complete the name in the to
field. I have the option checked that says to auto complete. I am talking
about users in our GAL. I can type in the first name and hit send and it
works but it use to auto complete it for you on my other outlook 2000 pc.

You don't. The autocomplete feature didn't appear until Outlook 2002.

The difference, perhaps, is that before you were using Outlook 2000 in
Internet Mail Only mode, but now you're using it in Corporate or Workgroup
mode so you can access the Exchange server/
