auto-complete has a "hidden" feature

Steve

I have been using Windows Mail for a few months. I understand the "last 29
emails auto-complete", but I do believe it is also doing more.

I have learned if I remember the first part of the email, and then just
send, the program seems to fill in the rest, but does not show it. So
somehow it is trying.

This "hidden" feature is sometimes OK, but if the person has two or more
addresses, I never know which one it sending to unless I check it aftewards
in the Sent box. Kind of weird.

Any comment on this "hidden" feature.

The feature you are talking about is something other than auto-
complete. When you send, if the program finds something in the
address lines (To, CC, BCC) that isn't a complete email address, it
will attempt to find a name match in your contacts.

Use the Check Button in the toolbar to check immediately.
