I'm having a rather odd issue. I have windows XP service pack 2,
and I use the auto complete feature to save passwords and such at various
sites I visit. The only problem is that since updating my system to Service
pack 2, whenever I enter a web page requiring me to log on, and
autocomplete asks me if I'd like to save the password so I won't have
to type it again, I answer yes, yet the setting never takes. I despite the
fact that I told autocomplete to save my log on info have to reenter the
info manually, and autocomplete keeps asking me if I'd like to save the
information. I keep saying yes, but the information is never saved!
Does anyone have any idea how to correct this problem? Also I don't know if
this is related or not, but also since the update to service pack 2,
windows messenger blocks all .mp3 file transfers!
If anyone tries to send me an mp3 file, windows messenger will block it
claiming it could be unsafe. I have no problem with extentions such as .exe
being blocked, but last I checked there's no reason that an mp3 file would
be unsafe. I have over 800 mp3's on my system and none of them has resulted
in any kind of virus.
So does anyone with service pack 2 know if I can fix the issue of Windows
messenger blocking mp3 files from being sent to me?
These are both SP2 issues as I didn't encounter them with either Windows xP
or Windows xP with service pack 1.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide on any of these issues.
